Reservation fee

A reservation fee is a small payment that holds something for you, such as a storage unit, before your agreement starts. Depending on the business, it may be taken off your first payment or charged on top.

At Wigwam

Reserving a unit with us costs £10, and that £10 comes off your first payment when you move in, so it isn’t an extra charge on top of your storage. Our prices page explains what the storage itself costs.

Reserving suits you if you’ve found the right unit but aren’t ready to complete the booking yet. Perhaps your moving date isn’t fixed, your ID isn’t to hand, or you’d like to ask us something first. It lets you settle the storage side of your plans now and finish the details when you’re ready.

To reserve online, choose your site, get a price, enter your details, pick the size you need and click reserve. A member of our team will then be in touch during office hours to take things from there. If you’d rather talk it through, call us on 0800 2545585 or email hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk, and we can help you work out the right size on the same call.

When you move in, you pay your first four weeks’ storage in advance, less the £10, plus contents cover if you choose ours.

Reservation fee or deposit?

A reservation fee holds a unit before you move in, and with us it goes towards your first payment. A deposit is security held for the whole time you store and returned at the end. We’re not currently taking deposits, so the £10 is the only thing you pay to hold a unit.

Students can reserve ahead of the end of term too, and with a two-week minimum stay it works for a short break as well as a whole summer. Get a price online to reserve yours.
