After you book, you check your ID online, pay your first four weeks, sign your storage agreement digitally and set up smart entry on your phone, and then you’re ready to move in. Moving in the same day can work if the size you need is free and your set-up is done, so if the van’s booked for today, call us on 0800 2545585 before you load up.
Step by step
- Check your ID. You photograph your passport or driving licence and take a quick selfie, which our secure identity check matches to you. Have a copy of a recent utility bill ready too.
- Pay your first four weeks. There’s no deposit to find on top, and your quote shows the exact amount. Everything you store needs contents cover, ours or your own; if you take ours and show us your own cover within 14 days of moving in, we refund our charge in full.
- Sign your agreement. We email you the storage agreement to sign digitally, with instructions for getting into the site. Please sign it before you move in.
- Set up smart entry. Before your move-in date, you’ll get a text from Noke with a link and a temporary password. Follow the link, turn on Bluetooth and Location Services, and log in. The temporary password lasts 24 hours; if it runs out, you can ask for a new one.
After that, payments are taken every four weeks, and we email your invoice 5 to 7 days before each one.
If you don’t have your ID to hand, the check doesn’t go through, or you have a question before signing, choose “Reserve a Unit” and a member of our team will contact you during office hours.
Moving in
Once smart entry is set up, your phone opens the building and your unit, and your unit’s own alarm sets and unsets as you come and go. Access is from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week (Cheltenham’s hours differ slightly, so check when you book). If you’re new to smart entry, we’d suggest moving in on a weekday, when you can reach us by phone if you have a question.
At Chipping Norton, bring a padlock for your unit, or buy a keyed or combination one at reception. If you don’t have a smartphone, call us before you book.
There’s free parking while you unload and free trolleys to use. If a removals crew is helping, someone from your side needs to be there while they load in, as our sites don’t take in deliveries.
Booking ahead, or changing plans
You can book online up to two weeks before your move-in date. You can also reserve a unit in advance, online or by calling us, for £10, which comes off your first payment when you move in.
If your plans change before you move in, you can cancel by calling us or emailing hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk. There’s a two-week notice period, and we refund any unused days after that.
