Storage agreement

A storage agreement is the contract between a self storage operator and a customer. It sets out the space you’re renting, the price, how and when you pay, how either side can end it, and what happens if something goes wrong.

At Wigwam

Our storage agreement is a licence: a simple agreement that lets you use and get to your own unit, rather than a lease or tenancy of a property. It comes in two parts. The front page holds your own details, such as your site, your start date, your price, your notice period and the value of the goods you’re storing. Behind it sit our terms and conditions, which are the same for every customer and which you can read online before you book.

Signing is one of the quick steps of booking. After you book, we email you the agreement to sign digitally, along with instructions for getting into the site. If you’d rather book by phone, call us and we’ll take you through it.

The agreement keeps storage flexible. The minimum stay is two weeks, and after that you stay for as long as you need. When you’re ready to leave, you email us your end date, normally with 14 days’ notice, as shown on the front page.

What to check before you sign

Read it through, and make sure anything agreed specially with you is written into it, because the written agreement is what counts. If you need a unit of an exact size for something particular, tell us before you sign so we can check it with you. If you book without visiting the site, you have 14 days after we confirm your booking to change your mind.

Any questions about the agreement, call us on 0800 2545585 or email hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk.
