Billing cycle

A billing cycle is the regular interval at which a supplier charges you, such as every week, every four weeks or every calendar month. Storage prices are often shown per week or per four weeks, while other bills in your life may run monthly, so the cycle matters when you compare costs.

At Wigwam

We charge every 28 days. Your billing cycle starts on the date your storage starts, and repeats every 28 days after that. You pay your first four weeks in advance when you book, plus contents cover if you take ours. New customers don’t pay a deposit.

After that, it’s simple:

  • we email your invoice 5 to 7 days before each payment is due, so you can always see what’s coming;
  • if you’ve set up a card payment or a Direct Debit, the payment is taken automatically on the due date, with nothing for you to do;
  • if you haven’t, we’ll get in touch on the due date and can send you a secure link to pay by card, with the option to save your card for next time.

Please keep your email address up to date with us, so your invoices always reach you.

Four weeks is not a month

Because a cycle of 28 days is shorter than most months, there are 13 payments a year rather than 12, and your payment date moves a few days earlier each month. When you compare prices, multiply a four-weekly price by 13 and divide by 12 to get a monthly figure.

For example, the middle price for a 50 sq ft unit across our sites in October 2026 was £133 every four weeks. Over a year, that’s 13 payments, or £1,729, which works out at about £144 a month. Your quote shows the exact price for your site and unit, and our prices page explains what storage costs.

If your payment date sits awkwardly with payday, call us on 0800 2545585 and we’ll talk it through.
