We don’t pack for you ourselves, but we’re happy to put you in touch with local, reliable removal and man-and-van firms we recommend. They can collect your things from home and bring them to your unit, and we can help with everything you need to pack.
Help getting your things here
Just call or email us and we’ll pass on details of our preferred local removals and man-and-van services. Many removal firms will also pack for you if you ask, so it’s worth including that when you get a quote.
When you talk to a firm, a few questions make the day go smoothly:
- Is the price fixed, or by the hour?
- Will they carry everything all the way into your unit?
- What cover do they have for your belongings while they’re on the van?
- Do they bring blankets and wrapping for furniture?
Someone from your side does need to be at the unit while a crew unloads, because only you, and the people you choose, can open it. That can be you, or a friend, relative or colleague you share smart entry with. Our guide to being there on moving-in day shows how to set that up.
Everything you need to pack
Our Box Shop sells boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper and furniture covers online, delivered straight to your door. If you’d rather pick them up in person, our Burton, Bath, Chipping Norton and Dorking sites sell packaging in store during office hours.
Doing it yourself
If you’re moving things in yourself, it’s easier than you might think. Trolleys are free to use, and some sites have pallet trucks too. You can park for free in the customer car park while you unload, and access is 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, so you can make trips at a time that suits you.
While you’re on the move
Your belongings need to be insured while they’re stored with us, and it’s worth checking what covers them on the road too. Our guide to cover while you move in explains how it works.
To find a firm near your site, call us on 0800 2545585 or email hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk. If you haven’t booked a unit yet, you can get a price online.
