Seasonal storage

Seasonal storage is keeping things you only use for part of the year in storage until their season comes round again: garden furniture and barbecues over winter, Christmas decorations for eleven months, ski and camping gear, or a business’s seasonal stock. The point is to free up space at home or work without getting rid of anything.

At Wigwam

Our flexible terms suit a season. The minimum stay is just two weeks, you’re billed every four weeks, and you leave by giving notice, normally 14 days, so you can keep a unit all year or only for the months you need it. Access is 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, so a Saturday swap of summer kit for winter kit fits easily, and there are free trolleys to help.

Garden furniture, tools, decorations, sports kit and stall equipment are all welcome. To keep everyone’s belongings safe from fire, fuel and gas stay out: a petrol mower is fine once it’s been run completely dry, and a gas barbecue is fine with its bottle taken off, but gas bottles, fuel cans and charcoal stay at home. Plants can’t be stored, so use the unit for pots and furniture instead.

Keep it all year, or just for the season?

On our October 2026 price lists, a 25 sq ft unit at the middle price was £85 every four weeks. That makes a 26-week winter about £553 and a whole year £1,105, before any offer. Prices vary by site and change often, so your quote shows today’s figure.

Keeping the unit all year means one set of trips and space at home year-round. Ending it saves the off-season months, but you’ll need room at home for the kit, and next season’s unit depends on what’s free then. Either way, pack things clean and dry, with breathable covers rather than sealed plastic.
