Overflow storage is extra space for stock, equipment or belongings that no longer fit in your main premises or home, used alongside them rather than instead of them. For a shop or online seller it usually means holding surplus stock nearby, especially before a busy season, so the shop floor or spare room isn’t swamped.
At Wigwam
Our rolling storage suits space that grows and shrinks. Business storage starts from as little as 14 days, and after that your unit carries on, paid every four weeks, until you give notice, which is normally 14 days.
- You can move to a bigger or smaller unit when one is free at your site.
- You can add a second unit for a peak, side by side if two next to each other are free. Each unit is its own booking, so you can give notice on the extra one and keep the first.
- You and your staff can restock between 6am and 10pm, seven days a week, and you can share access with colleagues through smart entry.
- You can pick and pack your own orders at the unit. It’s used for storage, so it can’t be a shop, an office or your business address.
We can’t sign for deliveries on your behalf, so book suppliers for a time when someone from your business will be there. Please keep stock inside your unit, so the shared corridors stay clear for everyone.
One big unit or two small ones?
One bigger unit often costs less than two smaller ones. On our October 2026 price lists, the middle price for 100 sq ft was £228 every four weeks, against £133 for 50 sq ft, so two 50s came to £266. Prices vary by site and change often. A second unit still makes sense if you only need it for a few weeks.
Plan the space like a stockroom: shelving along the walls, best sellers at the front, and a clear aisle to the back.
