The best person to ask is us: call 0800 2545585 and we’ll tell you what to expect at the site you’re using. What matters most for getting in is your phone’s Bluetooth and Location Services, because smart entry uses them to open the doors, so switch both on and set everything up before you arrive.
Getting in: what your phone needs
Smart entry is your key to the building and, where your site uses it on unit doors, to your unit too. Before your move-in date, you’ll get a text with a link and a temporary password to set it up. When it asks, say yes to Bluetooth and Location: smart entry won’t work without them.
A few minutes at home makes the first visit easy:
- Set up smart entry and create your own password before the day. The temporary password lasts 24 hours, so if your text is older than that, just ask us for a new one.
- Check Bluetooth and Location are still on before you set off.
- Charge your phone, and bring a cable or power bank on a long moving day. Our units don’t have power sockets, and the sockets around the building are for staff use.
- Save 0800 2545585 in your contacts, so help is one tap away.
If you’re new to smart entry, we’d suggest making your first visit on a weekday, when we’re easy to reach by phone.
If you’ll be working at your unit
Many customers use their units for business storage or packing, working from their phones or laptops. As there are no sockets to plug into, charge your devices at home first. If you’ll need to make calls, send photos of stock or get online while you’re here, ask us about your site when you book.
If your phone runs flat inside
There are push-to-exit buttons near the main exits, and units can only be locked from the outside.
No smartphone?
That’s fine. Let us know when you book and we can supply a fob instead.
