It’s highly unlikely. Our units can only be locked from the outside, so you can’t lock yourself in, and there are push-to-exit buttons near the main exits of the building, which you can use even after closing time.
It’s a very natural thing to wonder, especially if you’ll be working alone in a quiet corridor, so here’s how getting in and out works.
Your unit locks from the outside
When you arrive, you unlock your unit with smart entry on your phone, and its alarm switches off. When you leave, you lock it again from the outside, and that sets your alarm. At Chipping Norton, where units take your own padlock, the padlock goes on the outside of the door too, so the same holds.
The one thing to remember is the reverse: lock up whenever you step away, even for a quick trip back to the car, and check the door is properly locked before you go home.
Getting out of the building
You come in through the external doors with smart entry, or with your own PIN at Chipping Norton. Access hours are 6am to 10pm, seven days a week (Cheltenham’s are slightly different). If you’re still inside after 10pm, you can let yourself out with the push-to-exit buttons near the main exits, though charges may apply for out-of-hours access, so it’s worth planning a long day to finish in good time.
You’re not on your own
Our sites are watched around the clock by a professional CCTV monitoring company, the external doors have access control, and every unit has its own alarm. If you ever have a problem on site, call us on 0800 2545585. Saving the number in your phone before your first visit makes any question a quick call.
Bringing a helper
Moving in is easier with two. A friend or family member can come with you, or you can share access through smart entry with someone you trust, for a set time or with no end date. Our guide to sharing access to your unit explains how.
