An intruder alarm is a security system that detects when someone enters a protected space without permission and raises the alert, with a siren, a message to a monitoring service, or both. In a storage building, an alarm can protect the whole site, individual units, or both.
At Wigwam
Every one of our units is individually alarmed, so your unit has its own alarm rather than relying only on one for the building. It works with your access: when you unlock your unit with smart entry, its alarm switches off, and when you lock up, it sets again. At Chipping Norton, your own PIN does the same job.
If your unit’s alarm goes off while you’re not on site, our security team investigates. That sits alongside the rest of our security: access control on the external doors, a secure perimeter, and CCTV monitored around the clock by a professional monitoring company.
A simple habit
Because locking up is what sets the alarm, lock your unit every time you step away, even for a minute, and check it’s locked before you leave.
