Security lighting is lighting installed to make a site safer after dark: it helps customers see where they’re going, helps cameras record clearly, and puts off anyone who’d rather not be seen. It may be on all night, or switched by a motion sensor so it comes on when someone moves nearby.
At Wigwam
Our Burton-on-Trent, Dorking, Lincoln and Reading sites have motion-sensitive lighting inside the building, which comes on as you move about. Larger indoor units may have their own lighting too, so ask us about the unit you’re looking at.
Lighting works alongside the rest of our security: access control on the external doors, an individual alarm on every unit, a secure perimeter and CCTV monitored around the clock by a professional monitoring company.
Visiting on dark evenings
Access is 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, so in winter you may visit before sunrise or after dark. A head torch or battery lantern makes it easy to see into the back of your unit, and our units have no power sockets, so bring batteries rather than a plug-in lamp. If you’d like to know more about lighting at a particular site, call us on 0800 2545585.
