Have these to hand when you call
- the other company’s quote, ideally in writing;
- the unit size you need, in square feet;
- the site you’d like to use and roughly how long you’ll need storage.

Making sure the quotes compare like for like
Storage quotes can look very different on paper, so a few quick checks make sure you’re comparing the same thing:
- Size and floor. Check the square footage matches. At some of our sites, units on upper floors cost less than the same size on the ground floor, so ask us about both.
- How often you pay. We bill every four weeks, which is 13 payments a year. If the other quote is monthly, compare the yearly totals rather than one payment against another.
- Offers. If a quote includes an introductory discount, look at what you’ll pay once it ends as well as at the start. Our own offers vary by site and change often.
- Contents cover. Your belongings need to be covered while they’re in storage, either by our contents protection or by your own insurance. If the other quote includes cover, ask us what ours would cost for the same value.
- What you pay upfront. With us, you pay your first four weeks in advance, and new customers pay no deposit.
- VAT. Make sure both quotes are on the same basis.
