A box room is a small extra room in a house, usually the smallest bedroom, often just big enough for a single bed or a desk. The name comes from its traditional use as a place to keep boxes and trunks, and many still end up as the room where everything without a home is put.

As a rough guide, a 25 sq ft unit holds a spare room’s worth: a single bed frame, a chest of drawers, 10 to 15 boxes and some seasonal things. On our October 2026 price lists, the middle price for 25 sq ft was £85 every four weeks. The minimum stay is just two weeks, and after that your storage carries on until you give notice, normally 14 days.
Clearing it in an afternoon
- Sort into keep in the house, store, and pass on.

- Take beds and shelving apart.
