A 10ft container is a steel shipping container about half the length of the standard 20ft size. In self storage, it’s a compact drive-up space for things that don’t need a whole 20ft container, with the doors at one end so you can load straight from a car or van.
At Wigwam
At Chipping Norton we have 80 sq ft storage containers, listed as 10ft x 8ft, a handy size for excess stock, business equipment, garden machinery or the contents of a garage. They’re drive-up, so you can park beside the doors, and you can get to them from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. Our Chipping Norton containers sit in an access-controlled compound and are insulated to help stop condensation.
We have a limited number of containers, so ask us what’s free. Ask us how your container locks when you book, so you know whether to bring a padlock.
Is 80 sq ft enough?
As a rough guide, 75 sq ft holds the contents of a two-bedroom flat with modest furniture, stacked well. If a tight fit matters, measure your biggest items and call us on 0800 2545585, and we’ll help you check. If you need more room, our 160 sq ft (20ft) containers are at Chipping Norton and Shipston-on-Stour.
