Yes. You can keep your stock with us and pick and pack your own orders at your unit, coming and going as often as you like, normally between 6am and 10pm, seven days a week. It’s a simple way to get the boxes out of your spare room and keep everything in one place.
Setting up your unit
A simple set-up works well: freestanding shelving for stock, a folding table, and your boxes, mailers and tape within reach. Store heavier stock low and your best sellers near the front, and label your shelves so you can find things quickly.
Our units don’t have power sockets, so bring a charged laptop, tablet or phone for your orders, and take chargers and power banks home with you after each visit, because they can’t be kept in a unit for fire-safety reasons. Packed parcels need to stay inside your unit too, so the shared corridors stay clear for everyone.
Getting orders out
You can take packed orders to the post office or a parcel drop-off yourself. If you’d like a courier to collect from the site, call us first to check it works at yours. Either way, you, or someone from your business, will need to hand the parcels over, because we can’t hand over or sign for parcels on your behalf. The same goes for stock deliveries coming in: book them for a time you’ll be on site.
A few things to plan around
- Your address. Your unit can’t be your returns, sender or business address, so use your home or a mail service for labels and listings. Our guide to using a storage unit as a business address has some good options.

- A growing team. The unit is a store you work from, not a shop or an office, so it isn’t set up for staff or for customers calling in. If your business is heading that way, call us and we’ll talk through what fits.
