Our shortest stay for short-term storage is two weeks, so you’d book the two-week minimum for a one-week need, which leaves you a spare week if your plans slip. If you give us your notice on the day you sign up, the two weeks and your notice run side by side, and we refund any days you’ve paid for but won’t use.
How a short stay works
- Get a price and book. The online quote shows the price for the unit you choose at your nearest site, along with any offer running there. There’s no deposit for new customers: you pay your first four weeks in advance, plus contents cover if you take ours.
- Give notice when you sign up. Our notice period is normally 14 days, and it’s shown on the front page of your agreement. Just email hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk with your end date. Sending it on day one means it runs alongside the two-week minimum, not on top of it.
- Use your unit. You can get to it seven days a week, and you choose who else can.
- Move out and let us know. Clear the unit, leave it clean and tidy, and email us to say you’ve gone. Once we’ve checked the unit, we refund the days after your end date.
If a week turns into three
Moves slip all the time, and that’s fine. If your dates aren’t fixed yet, you can hold off giving notice until you know. If you’ve already given notice and need longer, just tell us before your end date and we’ll talk it through with you.
Two things to plan for
Your belongings need contents cover for the whole time they’re stored, even for two weeks. You can take ours, or use your own policy: send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we’ll refund our cover charge in full.
Prices vary by site and unit size, change often, and some sites run offers on the first weeks. The quote is the best guide, because it shows today’s price and any offer for the exact unit you pick.
