A typical furnished three-bedroom house fits in a 100 sq ft unit, which had a middle price of £57 a week (£228 every four weeks) on our October 2026 price lists. If the garage, shed and loft are coming too, you’ll want about 150 sq ft, with a middle price of £77.50 a week (£310 every four weeks).
What fits in 100 sq ft, and when to go bigger
A 100 sq ft unit takes the furniture from two or three bedrooms, a living room suite, a dining table and chairs, kitchen appliances and your boxes, packed well and stacked high. Step up to around 150 sq ft when the house contents are heavy: a loft full of boxes, a garage stocked with tools and garden equipment, and the shed.
If you’re between the two, tell us what you’re bringing and we’ll suggest a size. Booking the right size, rather than a padded one, is the simplest way to keep the cost down.
Why the price varies
Self storage is very local, so the same size costs different amounts from town to town, and sometimes from floor to floor at the same site. On our October 2026 lists, a 100 sq ft unit ranged from under £35 a week to £131, and 150 sq ft from £44.50 to £192. Our prices are reviewed regularly, often monthly on some sizes, so your quote is always the figure to trust.
At Chipping Norton, Shipston-on-Stour and Warminster we also have 160 sq ft storage containers, each big enough for the contents of a three-bedroom home. Ask us for a price if that suits your move.
What you pay, and when
- To start: your first four weeks’ storage in advance, plus contents cover if you take ours. New customers don’t pay a deposit.
- After that: a payment every four weeks, which is 13 payments a year. We email your invoice 5 to 7 days before each one.
- Offers: our sites often run an introductory offer, such as 50% or 75% off the first eight weeks in October 2026. Your quote shows the offer for the unit you choose.
- Contents cover: your belongings need to be covered while they’re stored, either by our contents protection, priced on the replacement value of what you store, or by your own policy.
Our minimum stay is two weeks. When you’re ready to leave, give notice by email, normally 14 days, and we’ll refund any unused days once the unit has been checked. If you find you’ve booked too much or too little space, you can move to a bigger or smaller unit whenever one is free at your site.
