Gazundering is when a buyer lowers their offer on a home at the last minute, usually just before contracts are exchanged, knowing the seller may be under pressure to accept rather than lose the sale. It’s the reverse of gazumping, and like gazumping it can happen in England because an accepted offer isn’t legally binding until exchange.

At Wigwam

Whether a seller accepts the lower offer, renegotiates or walks away, the moving dates can change at short notice. If your sale is delayed or you start again, storage gives your belongings a safe place for as long as it takes:

  • No end date needed. The minimum stay is just two weeks, then storage carries on until you give notice, normally 14 days.
  • Flexible if plans change. If you’ve already given notice and need longer, call us before your end date and we’ll agree a later date with you in writing.
  • Only pay for what you use. We refund any unused days once the unit is empty and checked.

Your conveyancer and estate agent can advise you on the offer itself.
