Yes, we have ground-floor units, so if you’re moving heavy furniture or can’t manage stairs, there’s no floor to climb. Where a site has upper floors, several have a lift, and upstairs units are often cheaper, which suits boxes and lighter things.
Sites with a lift
Alton, Bath, Bromsgrove, Burton-on-Trent, Chipping Norton, Dorking, Lincoln, March and Tewkesbury have a lift to their upper floors. If you’re bringing a wardrobe, a bike or anything long, ask us whether it will fit the lift before you book upstairs.
Two upper floors are reached by stairs only: the first floor at Leatherhead and the first floor at Cheltenham. Units there are priced lower, which can be a good deal if you’re storing light boxes and are happy to carry them up. For heavier things at those sites, we’d suggest the ground floor.
For Marlow, Reading and Shipston-on-Stour, call us and we’ll tell you how the upper floor is reached.
Drive-up units
If you’d rather not go inside at all, Chipping Norton, Shipston-on-Stour and Warminster also have a limited number of drive-up units and containers. You park beside the door and load straight in, which suits tradespeople and anyone in and out every week.
Choosing your floor
When you get a price online, the quote shows the sizes and prices at your site. Some sizes are only on one floor: the largest units are mostly downstairs, and at some sites the smallest are upstairs only. Prices change often, so the quote is always the price that counts.
On moving day, you can park for free in the customer car park while you unload, and trolleys are free to use at every site. If you can’t carry far, ask us for a ground-floor unit close to the entrance when you book. For getting into the building itself, see step-free access at our sites.
If you start upstairs and it becomes too much, call us about moving to a ground-floor unit. It depends on what’s free at your site.
If you want the ground floor, or need to know about the lift at your site, call us on 0800 2545585 before you book and we’ll tell you what’s free.
