A storage locker is a small, lockable, cupboard-like storage space that you reach into rather than walk into. It suits a few boxes, suitcases, files or small personal items rather than furniture, and it costs less in total than a walk-in unit.
At Wigwam
A locker is simply a smaller unit, with the same easy access and the same simple terms. You’ll find lockers at sites including Bath, Chipping Norton and Leatherhead. Not every size appears on our online quote, so if you’d like a locker, call us on 0800 2545585 and we’ll tell you what’s free near you.
- Access is normally 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. Ask us how you’ll open your locker at the site you choose.
- You’re billed every four weeks, the minimum stay is just two weeks, and when you’re ready to leave you normally give 14 days’ notice.
- New customers don’t pay a deposit: you pay your first four weeks in advance, plus contents cover if you take ours.
- Everything stored needs contents cover, through our contents protection or your own insurance.
A locker sits inside the same protected site as our units, with access control on the external doors and CCTV monitored around the clock by a professional monitoring company.
Locker or small unit?
A locker is ideal for a student’s things over the summer, a few boxes of paperwork, boxed business samples, or the bits that won’t fit in a new flat. Choose a walk-in unit for furniture, a mattress, anything long or tall, or more than a handful of boxes; our room-by-room size guide can help you choose. A locker and our smallest unit can be close in price, so compare the two when you get a price, and if you have something awkward, such as a guitar case or a folded pushchair, describe it to us and we’ll suggest the right space.
