Euro pallet

A Euro pallet is the standard European pallet, a flat wooden platform measuring 1,200 x 800 mm that goods are stacked and strapped onto so they can be moved by a pallet truck or forklift. It’s widely used across Europe, including the UK, and is about 20% smaller than the standard UK pallet of 1,200 x 1,000 mm.

At Wigwam

Pallets of stock are welcome in our business storage units. There’s no forklift on site, so when you book a pallet delivery, ask your haulier for a vehicle with a tail-lift and a pallet truck, and book it for a time when you, or someone you’ve shared access with, can be there to meet it. Ask us whether your site has a pallet truck you can use.

A ground-floor unit makes pallets easiest, because the load can roll straight from the vehicle to your door. At Chipping Norton, Shipston-on-Stour and Warminster, drive-up units and containers let the vehicle park beside the door.

Planning space for pallets

Tell us how many pallets you’ll have and their height, and we’ll help you choose a unit with room to move a pallet truck in and out. Leave an aisle so you can reach every pallet, and keep the corridors clear.
