You rent your own private, secure unit at a storage site, for as long as you need it. You choose the size, move your things in yourself, lock it with your own access, and come and go whenever the site is open. With us, the minimum stay is just two weeks, you pay every four weeks, and when you’re finished you give notice and move out.
Step by step
- Choose a size. Tell us what you’re storing and we’ll help you pick the right unit, from a locker for a few boxes to space for a whole house. Our size guide is a good place to start.
- Get a price and book. Get a price online or call us. When you book, we’ll ask for a photo ID and a recent utility bill, and an alternate contact. You can reserve a unit ahead for £10, which comes off your first payment.
- Pay your first four weeks. You pay your first four weeks’ storage in advance, plus contents cover if you take ours. We’re not currently taking deposits.
- Set up smart entry. You’ll get a text with a link to set up smart entry on your phone, which opens the doors and your unit. No smartphone? We can supply a fob. At Chipping Norton, you use your own PIN and padlock.
- Move in. Park free while you unload, and use our free trolleys to wheel your things to your door. If you’d like help with the lifting, we can recommend local removals firms.
- Visit whenever you like. Access is 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. Add things, take things out, or share access with someone you trust.
- Leave when you’re ready. Email us your end date, normally with 14 days’ notice. Once you’ve cleared the unit and we’ve checked it, we refund any days you’ve paid for but won’t use.
Paying as you go
Storage is billed every four weeks, from the date your storage starts. We email your invoice 5 to 7 days before each payment, and with a card or Direct Debit set up, payments are taken automatically. If you need more or less space later, you can move to a different size of unit when one is free.
Keeping your things safe
Every unit has its own alarm and lock, the external doors have access control, and our sites are watched by CCTV monitored around the clock. Everything stored needs contents cover, through our contents protection or your own policy.
What people use it for
Moving house, renovating, clearing a loved one’s home, storing business stock, a student summer, or simply more room at home. A few things can’t be stored, such as fuel, food and anything flammable; our list of prohibited items has the details.
