Some of it, yes, but call us before you book so we can check your stock. Packaging, display stands, empty bottles and accessories without batteries are welcome in business storage. Anything with a built-in battery counts towards our limit of ten such items in a unit, so boxed stock of battery-powered vapes usually can’t be stored, and e-liquids need a label check first.
Why batteries are limited
Lithium-ion batteries are safe in normal use, but a damaged or faulty one can overheat and catch fire. A storage building holds many people’s belongings, so we keep the number of batteries in any one unit small, and every customer is held to the same limits:
- up to ten items with built-in batteries in a unit, free of visible damage and not stacked;
- loose lithium-ion batteries of 160Wh or less;
- no power banks, portable chargers or similar.
A carton of devices with built-in batteries will usually be well over ten, so battery stock is best kept at premises set up for it. Our units don’t have power sockets, so nothing is ever left charging.
E-liquids
Check each product’s label. Anything carrying the flame symbol (a flame inside a red-edged diamond) can’t be stored, and nothing that gives off fumes or smells can go in a unit either. For e-liquids without the flame symbol, email us the product name or a photo of the label and we’ll confirm before you book.
Single-use vapes
Single-use vapes can no longer be sold in England. GOV.UK says the ban came into force on 1 June 2025, and that businesses must arrange for any leftover stock to be recycled by a registered vape recycling service. A storage unit isn’t the place to hold it while you wait.
What’s welcome
- packaging, boxes, labels and empty bottles;
- display stands, signage and shop fittings;
- cases, bags and accessories with no battery.
Units are for storage, so they can’t be used as a shop, and they can’t be your business address.
Before you book, email the list of what you’d like to store to hello@wigwamstorage.co.uk, or call us on 0800 2545585, and we’ll tell you what can go in.
